Position: Senior Accountant - MPM (Outsource)

Role : Senior Accountant (outsource)

Location : Abu Dhabi

Role

Purpose:

Position is responsible for MPM accounting transaction in operations and reports preparation in all three regions.

Responsible for various report preparation and submission to management.

Adhering for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting deadlines and accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Key Metrics for Accountant:

  • Compliance with IFRS
  • Liaise with other departments for reporting information gathering.
  • Ensure transactions are completed within the agreed timelines.
  • Reports Prepared are correct & free of errors.
Key Accountabilities of the role
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the accounting and general ledger structure.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly accounting information to owners & senior management.
  • Oversee the Vendor processes for MPM, including creditor accruals, reconciliations and ensuring currency of information.
  • Managing and controlling all regions property release calculations and make sure calculations are correct and closing all related system updates and final documents.
  • Managing and controlling all regions bounced cheque process and dealing with legal team for the proper legal case action and make sure all default cases has legal case availability and further follow-up till collection from court.
  • Preparing various types of management reports and based on requirement and indicate higher management with key points.
  • Recommend and undertake continuous system and process improvements to ensure quality service delivery to key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Head of Accounts & Control to set performance targets, team work plans, and mitigate identified risk areas;
  • Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
  • Supports operation team in daily activities.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Guides assistant accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly accounting information to owners & senior management.
  • Supports operation team in daily activities related to accounts.
  • Reconciliation of Bank Accounts.
  • Collaborates with the other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Perform various cost management analysis and inform manager about the profitability along with suggestion of controlling costs.
  • Maintains accounting controls by adopting defined accounting policies and procedures.
  • Review and recommend financial improvements in the MPM ERP along with testing and checking the enhancement in it.
  • Adhering to risk management policies & procedures

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:

  • Partial ACCA, ICAP, BA/BS in Business with an emphasis on Accounting.
  • Good understanding of Accounting andlegal compliance requirements.
  • Expert knowledge ofIFRS Rules, Accounting, Managing Processes.
  • PC proficient & Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
  • ORACLE knowledge & practice is advantage

Previous experience required (if any)

8+ years of experience, Real estate and property management experience preferred
