We are looking for a Technical Implementation Engineer to lead and implement infrastructure systems that enable and support business and engineering functions, design and deploy enterprise infrastructures and multi‑cloud platforms—particularly VMware private cloud—and provide architecture support and evaluation.
The Opportunity- Lead and implement infrastructure systems that enable and support business and/or engineering functions.
- Participate in the design and implementation of enterprise infrastructures and multi‑cloud platforms, especially VMware private cloud.
- Provide strategy and architecture support and perform product/service evaluations.
- Support the definition of project scope, plans, and deliverables including costings and implementation dates.
- Research, analyse, recommend, and implement new technologies, standards, processes, tools and techniques.
- Identify, develop, update and enforce standards and procedures.
- Lead the team, providing direction and guidance on tasks and timescales, and coordinate various activities.
- Participate in implementation delivery process improvement initiatives.
- Implement and manage multi‑cloud infrastructure in accordance with best practices and Core
42’s security standards. - Ensure the customer’s solution is configured and technically deployed to specification, accurately, and on‑time.
- Develop migration planning, preparations, and cutover activities with internal and external teams.
- Perform infrastructure assessments and deliver due diligence reports.
- Develop and maintain low‑level designs, system diagrams, system installation configuration & guides, support procedures, test plans and runbooks.
- Develop, document, and implement Disaster Recovery Plan and execute DR drills.
- Deploy and manage server hardware (chassis, blades and rack servers) with hypervisors and Windows OS.
- Perform large‑scale upgrades, migrations, transitions and consolidation of Microsoft services including Active Directory, ADFS, Exchange messaging, DNS and DHCP.
- Implement and configure Windows clustering, MSSQL, SCCM and file services (DFS).
- Install infrastructure application patches/fixes and plan/perform upgrades.
- Perform advanced problem determination and root‑cause analysis.
- Plan and execute the Core
42 Operation Readiness process for infrastructure projects for transition into production support. - Act as technical lead to 3rd‑party vendors to ensure technical assurance and adherence to Core
42 quality standards.
- Ensure new knowledge is captured and shared.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME).
- Share knowledge and enter data into knowledge repositories to build, harvest, leverage and re‑use knowledge.
- Participate in supporting the project scope, gathering client requirements, managing/aligning resources, and managing communications.
- Identify project tasks/activities and develop project schedules.
- Collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate project objectives and goals.
- Complete project activities on time, within budget and within scope.
- Develop implementation plans.
- Create accurate operating procedures, support instructions, and operational/system documentation.
- Solicit feedback from clients on quality of product/solution.
- Solve problems quickly, effectively communicate solutions and associated risks.
- Manage expectations and meet deadlines.
- Maintain utilization rates as per target.
