Design Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized Design Coordinator to support the management and coordination of multidisciplinary design teams for a large-scale infrastructure masterplan and land development project in the UAE. The role requires a deep understanding of design processes, authority standards, and inter‑disciplinary interfaces to ensure integrated, timely, and high-quality design outputs.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in infrastructure or land development projects within an engineering consultancy environment, along with strong stakeholder coordination skills and familiarity with UAE standards and design workflows.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across roads, water, dry utilities, bridges & tunnels, landscape, and transport teams.
• Track design progress, deliverables, schedules, and interdependencies, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Compile, review, and consolidate design inputs from multiple engineering disciplines.
• Support the development and management of design programmes, design deliverable schedules, and RFI tracking logs.
• Assist in the preparation and review of design reports, drawings, models, and submissions for technical consistency.
• Support the preparation of technical presentations and coordination materials for stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure design packages comply with UAE authority requirements and project specifications.
• Participate in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors.
• Interface with UAE authorities for submissions and technical clarifications.
• Support the management of stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication across the project.
• Assist in implementing QA/QC procedures, design reviews, and compliance checks.
• Identify potential design issues, conflicts, or inconsistencies and support resolution through coordination meetings.
• Provide support to project managers with progress tracking, reporting, risk registers, and coordination plans.
• Assist with document control, version tracking, and design submission workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design coordination for infrastructure or land development projects (preferably in the UAE).
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design workflows and engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with UAE authority guidelines and approval processes.
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
