Job Title: HSE Engineer (PJ-1) – Process Safety

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (with frequent offshore visits)
Salary: AED 13,000 – 15,000
Contract Type: Contract Hire – Limited
Working Hours: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM (5 days/week)

Job Purpose:

To support and implement HSE and process safety engineering practices across oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HSE management systems for assigned projects and facilities.

  • Conduct process safety studies such as HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, Bowtie, and QRA to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Review engineering designs, procedures, and project documentation to ensure HSE compliance.

  • Interpret P&IDs
    , evaluate cause & effect logic, interlocks, and safety systems
    .

  • Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

  • Provide technical guidance on process safety, environmental safety, and occupational safety.

  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
    .

  • Support safety workshops, risk assessments, and safety awareness programs.

Qualifications &

Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering (mandatory).

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry at engineer level.

  • Strong process safety engineering experience (not limited to general HSE or site safety).

  • Experience in oil & gas process facilities, refineries, or offshore/onshore plants
    .

  • Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs and safety system logic
    .

  • Exposure to process safety workshops (HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, Bowtie, QRA) is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with ADNOC standards and experience within ADNOC group companies is an advantage.

Additional Requirements:
  • Strong risk assessment, auditing, and safety management skills.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting abilities.

  • Preference for candidates approved by regulatory bodies or OPCOs.
