Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Engineering Operations Technician Trainees to join our expanding Data Center team in Abu Dhabi.

  6‑month full‑time training program (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, standard daytime hours). Upon successful completion, the trainee may be converted to a full‑time Data Center Facility Engineer, depending on performance.

Gain comprehensive skills and hands‑on experience to prepare for a full‑time Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer role.

Full‑time positions require flexible scheduling, including shift work, weekends, and on‑call rotations.

• Assist in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Support root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Help troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events within internal SLAs.
• Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Use our internal CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage workflows.
• Work alongside third‑party vendors and contractors onsite.
• Work with equipment that supports mission‑critical servers, including but not limited to diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.

• Working at heights and from ladders.
• Regularly lifting/moving up to 22 kg (49 lbs) unassisted, and participating in group lifts for heavier loads.
• Using hands to handle and manipulate small tools, wires, and objects.

• UAE National with family book.
• Recently graduated, with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) OR recently graduated from a technical/trade school programme (HVAC, electrician, facilities maintenance, or similar).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Interest in working in a data center environment.
