To lead large and highly complex avionics aircraft maintenance and repair activities on equipment such as wires, radar, radio, pulse, navigation in a timely manner and inspect the execution of repairs and maintenance tasks by technicians and senior technicians to ensure adherence to technical orders, standards and regulations, engineering drawings, and Job Guides.

• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools.
• Examine and inspect calibration on installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications and ensure performance of task based on standard procedure.
• Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers.
• Lead scheduled service and maintenance tasks to aircraft avionic system components and advise on problems with maintaining, servicing, and inspecting avionic aircraft system and related aerospace equipment.
• Lead unscheduled maintenance, repair and troubleshooting tasks assigned to aircraft systems, components, and related equipment and ensure the right implementation of procedures.
• Examine and test repaired components and systems according to standards and procedures and approve the process before signing off.
• Review and inspect maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation and sign of for the supervisor’s approval.
• Report findings and issues to supervisor and collaborate with the supervisor to assess the problem and lead the implementation of the adopted solution and ensure proper execution in performing tasks.
• Lead avionics equipment checks to ensure they are working appropriately on launch and recovery aircraft.
• Lead installation and maintaining of visual landing aids as instructed and according to adopted procedures.
• Maintain logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
• Lead repair and maintenance tasks on issues encountered during typical recovery missions and inspect the components afterwards to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements before signing off.
• Develop deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data changes and equipment records to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the maintenance progress and results.
• Record information on data collection forms and automated system under request of supervisor and when required ensure preparation of timely and accurate status reports.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to technicians and senior technicians on basic and complex tasks and procedures to support their development.
• Act as a technical expert of avionics technician’s team in addressing complex avionics maintenance issues by illustrating the right approach to address the issues to ensure quality maintenance and repair operations.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
