Fire Fighting BIM Modeler

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Fire Fighting BIM Modeler to join our Fire Fighting Systems design team in Abu Dhabi, UAE
. The successful candidate will produce accurate BIM models and coordinated drawings for fire fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, foam, deluge and gaseous suppression systems) in accordance with UAE Civil Defense and Fire & Life Safety (FLS) requirements
. The role requires close coordination with design engineers, BIM coordinators, project managers and site teams to support project delivery from design stage through construction and handover.

• Develop and maintain BIM models for fire fighting systems using Revit, ensuring coordination with MEP and structural disciplines.
• Prepare shop drawings, layout drawings, coordination drawings and isometric drawings from BIM models for installation.
• Model fire fighting systems including:
  • Sprinkler systems
  • Hydrant systems
  • Fire pumps
  • Hose reels
  • Foam systems
  • Gaseous suppression systems
• Populate BIM models with manufacturer-specific components and families, ensuring consistent model standards.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks, resolving conflicts with other services.
• Produce material take-offs and quantity schedules to support estimation and procurement.
• Ensure BIM models comply with:
  • UAE Civil Defense requirements
  • Fire & Life Safety (FLS) standards
  • Project specifications
  • Consultant requirements
  • BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants and project teams to update models based on design revisions.
• Maintain proper revision control and documentation for all BIM submissions.
• Support technical meetings and coordination meetings with consultants and contractors.
• Visit project sites in Abu Dhabi and other UAE locations when required.
• Support preparation of authority submission drawings and as-built drawings.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Building Services or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in Fire Fighting BIM modelling in the UAE is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Fire fighting systems

  • FLS requirements
• Proficiency in:
  • Revit (Mandatory)
  • Navisworks
  • AutoCAD
  • BIM collaboration platforms
• Familiar with:
  • UAE Civil Defence requirements
  • Fire & Life Safety Code
  • NFPA standards
• Ability to produce accurate and coordinated shop drawings.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
