Site Systems​/Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Site Systems / Network Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in managing and maintaining enterprise network and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) activities, including configuration backups, firmware upgrades, patch management, system backups, and health monitoring.

The role requires on‑site technical expertise, coordination during maintenance windows, detailed documentation skills, and the ability to independently execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

• Perform periodic configuration backups of switches, routers, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
• Ensure backup integrity and maintain proper version control records.
• Plan and deploy firmware / IOS upgrades on network devices during approved maintenance windows.
• Conduct detailed health checks including CPU utilization, memory usage, interface status, error counters, and log analysis.
• Perform Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting.
• Validate VLANs, trunk links, Ether Channel, Spanning Tree, and routing protocol status.
• Coordinate hardware replacement and RMA processes when required.
• Maintain proper rack organization, labeling, and cabling standards.

• Take full configuration backups before and after changes.
• Perform firmware upgrades on firewalls.
• Support security patching and vulnerability remediation activities.

• Perform Windows Server patch management and security updates.
• Execute full system backups and validate backup completion.
• Monitor server performance including CPU, memory, disk utilization, and event logs.
• Support Active Directory administration and policy updates.
• Conduct health checks on virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper‑V / Stratus).
• Perform restore testing as part of backup validation procedures.

• Prepare detailed PPM reports for each maintenance cycle.
• Maintain Change Requests (CRs), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, and configuration records.
• Track firmware versions, patch levels, and backup status.
• Ensure compliance with change management and security policies.

• Coordinate with IT, Security, and Operations teams during scheduled maintenance.
• Provide on‑site technical support and incident response.
• Participate in after‑hours maintenance and emergency support when required.
• Proactively identify risks and recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure reliability.

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in network and system infrastructure support.
• Valid CCNA / HCIA Certification.
• Microsoft Certified:
  Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
• Strong experience in configuration backup and firmware upgrade procedures.
• Experience in Windows Server patching and enterprise backup solutions.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Huawei switches, routers, and firewall platforms.
• Experience working within structured change management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
