Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior mechanical Engineer to join the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and contribute to the activities of our Electromagnetic Sensing Division

The role includes the oversight of mechanical design and integration of our solutions electromagnetic sensing systems on airborne and ground platforms. The role covers Solid Works-based design, material and process selection, structural and thermal analysis, RF cooling solutions, prototyping and testing support, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, high-performance systems.

• Design and model mechanical structures and enclosures for EM remote-sensing systems (SAR, GPR, etc.) using Solid Works.
• Optimize designs for weight, strength, durability, and aerodynamics.
• Select suitable materials and manufacturing methods (CNC, sheet metal, 3D printing).
• Design parts for integration of sensors, electronics, batteries, and payloads on UAV/UGV platforms.
• Ensure proper mounting, alignment, and mechanical compatibility of sensing systems.

• Support prototyping, assembly, and lab/field testing.
• Perform structural, motion, and thermal analyses and support qualification tests.
• Support procurement and coordination with manufacturers and suppliers.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience
  : 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Technical Foundation
  :
  Strong fundamental understanding of engineering principles, mechanics of materials, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Language Proficiency
  :
  Good level of English (speaking and writing).
