AERTEC is seeking an HSE Officer to support health, safety, and environmental management on airport projects in the United Arab Emirates. The selected candidate will ensure full compliance with local regulations, international standards, and operational safety requirements in live airside and landside environments.
About the RoleThe role requires a structured and proactive professional with experience in construction safety and airport projects, capable of implementing robust HSE systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ADOSH frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and oversee the Project HSE Plan in compliance with ISO 45001, ADOSH requirements, airport safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses for construction activities, particularly high-risk works in airside areas and critical infrastructure operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with airport safety procedures, including permit-to-work systems, airside access controls, lifting operations, and coordination with airport authorities.
- Monitor contractors’ and subcontractors’ HSE performance, ensuring compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Perform daily site inspections, audits, and safety walkthroughs to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, inspection logs, and regulatory compliance trackers.
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to promote a strong safety culture across the workforce.
- Coordinate with airport stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and project management teams to ensure alignment with safety protocols and operational constraints.
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and crisis management activities in coordination with airport emergency services.
- Prepare periodic HSE reports for internal management and client submission.
- Technical Diploma in Health and Safety or a related discipline (minimum requirement).
- NEBOSH IGC / ISO 45001 certification and/or ADOSH Practitioner Course (mandatory).
- Minimum of 4 years’ professional HSE experience in construction projects and at least 2 years’ experience in airport projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and airport operational safety requirements.
- Fluent English communication skills. Arabic is considered an advantage.
