Position: PMC Senior Interface Engineer ( Habshan-Site )

Overview

Wood is recruiting an experienced PMC Senior Interface Engineer – Site based for our ADNOC Gas PMC team in Abu Dhabi. The role is full‑time, site‑based in the United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out interface management activities of ADNOC projects according to set interface procedures and coordinate with existing ADNOC facilities, contractors and vendors throughout all project stages.
  • Follow defined interface points during the design phase and populate new operational interfaces for timely project execution. Maintain and update the interface register.
  • Provide the project with all information related to interface agreements required by stakeholders.
  • Control the process of interface identification and definition of technical and execution interfaces.
  • Arrange alignment meetings with interfacing parties, including existing facilities, other ongoing projects and operational interfaces within the battery limit.
  • Plan interface work based on identified interfaces and support department objectives.
  • Ensure interfaces are formally closed and approved before design freezing, and that they are executed in accordance with project objectives.
  • Monitor, update and record revisions and status of interfaces.
  • Actively participate in regular interface meetings.
  • Address construction interface considerations and potential problems to ensure efficient operations.
  • Support lesson‑learned and issue resolution between different projects/assets and coordinate reporting.
  • Review engineering deliverables and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure adherence to interface agreements.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly interface management reports.
  • Promote clear, accurate, timely, and consistent communication with internal organizations regarding interface information and documentation.
  • Ensure all formal handover documentation (engineering & construction) is completed according to the interface schedule.
  • Provide technical input to the PMT during the EPC stage.
  • Accountable for all technical interfaces, ensuring a comprehensive review of all requests and that project objectives, requirements, budget, and schedule are met.
  • Oversee the contractor’s interface team to ensure timely approvals of technical work packs from other EPCs, engineering and construction teams.
  • Identify and resolve reported areas of concern or unresolved interface issues promptly.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Computer, Software, Electronic, Marine, Ship Captain, etc.) or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the offshore/onshore oil & gas or petrochemical industry, with at least 5 years in the GCC region.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position for international major (>$1 Billion) oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  • Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work across diverse cultures.
  • Solid experience in construction interface management; ADNOC project experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction SIMOPS.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with internal and external parties for regulatory approvals.
  • Previous experience in mega onshore projects within the oil & gas sector is essential.
