Job Title: Engineer - Reliability, DRP Mechanical
Type: Full-time
Job Summary:The Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving asset reliability performance and ensuring high operational availability of plant and associated equipment. This role focuses on continuous improvement, data analysis, and the development of cost-effective asset strategies throughout the equipment lifecycle. The Reliability Engineer plays a key role in root cause analysis, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and optimizing maintenance strategies to enhance plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Capture and analyze maintenance data and equipment history to improve asset reliability.
- Review and analyze operator route data for performance insights.
- Monitor and develop action plans for "bad actor" equipment to enhance reliability.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) efforts and implement preventive measures.
- Facilitate Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Identify and implement operational and maintenance improvements for problem resolution.
- Provide engineering support during shutdowns and breakdowns.
- Participate in capital project planning, ensuring reliability is incorporated into new asset design.
- Develop strategies for optimizing spare parts inventory based on asset lifecycle.
- Ensure proper documentation of technical work, cost estimates, and maintenance methodologies.
- Provide coaching and training on reliability and maintenance best practices.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives across teams to enhance plant efficiency.
- Minimum 5 years of Mechanical/Electrical maintenance experience in an integrated steel plant or equivalent industry.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, and reliability-centered maintenance in the steel industry is mandatory.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Proficiency in condition monitoring tools (vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography).
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in reliability and maintenance software.
