Job Description
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for utility infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures timely project delivery through effective planning, progress tracking, and coordination with project stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 in line with contract requirements and project scope
Prepare baseline programs
, recovery schedules, and revised schedules as required
Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
Analyze delays, identify critical path activities, and prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
Coordinate with construction, design, procurement, and subcontractor teams for accurate planning inputs
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for client and PMC review
Track milestones, resource loading, and cash flow forecasting
Support claims preparation related to time extensions and delay analysis
Attend progress meetings and provide planning inputs to the project management team
Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority requirements and project contractual obligations
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in planning for utility infrastructure projects in the UAE
Strong experience in roads, drainage, sewerage, water networks, and utility corridors
Proficient in Primavera P6
, MS Project, and MS Excel
Experience working with consultants / PMCs preferred
Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authorities such as ADM, DMT, ADDC, TRANSCO, or related entities is an advantage
