Parsons is seeking a talented BIM Engineer (Infrastructure) to join our team! In this role, you will identify, engage, and manage the implementation and management of BIM processes and ensuring that digital workflows align with project goals.
What You'll Be Doing: 1. BIM Strategy and ImplementationDevelop and implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) in alignment with project requirements.
Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows in accordance with industry best practices (e.g., ISO 19650).
Define and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) for the project to ensure seamless collaboration and data exchange.
Lead coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and construction issues using BIM models.
Facilitate collaboration between designers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient model development.
Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related queries and issues on the project.
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of 3D/4D/5D BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct regular model audits and clash detection to ensure quality and compliance with project standards.
Ensure that models are accurate, consistent, and meet the requirements of the project deliverables.
Manage and integrate data from various disciplines (e.g., architectural, structural, MEP) into the BIM model.
Extract and analyze data from BIM models for reporting, scheduling, and cost estimation purposes.
Ensure that the BIM model is used effectively for construction sequencing, quantity take-offs, and progress tracking.
Provide training and support to team members on BIM tools, processes, and workflows.
Mentor junior BIM staff and ensure their professional development in BIM-related competencies.
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in digital construction practices.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment on BIM deliverables and expectations.
Prepare and present BIM-related reports, visualizations, and progress updates to stakeholders.
Ensure that client requirements for BIM deliverables are met, including handover of as-built models.
Stay updated on emerging BIM technologies, tools, and trends in the construction industry.
Evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions to enhance BIM workflows.
Implement advanced BIM applications such as 4D (time scheduling), 5D (cost estimation), and GIS integration for infrastructure projects.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with BIM implementation and data management.
Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to BIM deliverables.
Maintain documentation of BIM processes and ensure proper version control of models.
Support the construction supervision team by providing accurate and up-to-date BIM models for on-site decision-making.
Use BIM tools to monitor construction progress and identify potential delays or conflicts.
Assist in resolving construction issues by leveraging BIM-based simulations and visualizations.
Ensure that as-built models are accurate and aligned with the final construction.
Facilitate the handover of BIM data and models to the client for facility management and operations.
Support the integration of BIM models into asset management systems for long-term use.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.
