Design Coordinator Projects
We are hiring an experienced Design Coordinator Projects based in Abu Dhabi.
The Engineering Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between the organization and external authorities, and internally between all departments inside the Projects Division, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary NOCs, permits, and approvals. The role involves initiating and managing official correspondence, coordinating fee payments, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies. This position is critical to facilitating smooth project execution by ensuring compliance with all relevant authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the point of interface with government entities, municipalities, and regulatory bodies to facilitate engineering‑related approvals and permits.
- Coordinate the preparation, submission, and follow‑up of all required documentation to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs), permits, and other regulatory approvals.
- Draft, issue, and manage formal communications with internal and external authorities, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.
- Manage and track payments of authority‑related fees, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to support project progress and resolve any engineering‑related issues.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with local regulations, codes, and standards as mandated by relevant authorities.
- Maintain organized records of all correspondence, approvals, permits, and payments related to authority coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field (minimum 4 years program)
- 10 years of experience in UAE is a must
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Fluency in Arabic & English (Verbal & Written)
- Holds a valid UAE driving License
- Resident of Abu Dhabi
