Job DescriptionJob Title:Technical English Instructor – Mechanical Systems (Naval/Maritime)
Location:Abu Dhabi, UAE (On-site)
Contract Type:Short-term / Training Assignment
Tentative Start:Feb 2026 (TBC)
Schedule:Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00
Duration:2 weeks (10 working days)
Class Size:Up to 10 trainees
Language:Training delivered in English (trainees are Arabic-speaking)
We are seeking a Technical English Instructor with strong naval/maritime mechanical systems exposure to deliver a specialized Technical English course for Arabic-speaking trainees. The course focuses on practical communication, technical terminology, and operational language used in marine/mechanical systems maintenance and operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver the Mechanical Systems Technical English
course (naval/maritime context).Adapt content for Arabic-speaking learners ensuring clarity, cultural relevance, and technical accuracy.
Facilitate interactive sessions: role plays, technical dialogues, troubleshooting scenarios, and maintenance communication.
Conduct learner assessments and track progress throughout the course.
Collect participant feedback and submit brief course reporting/observations to the project team.
Technical English vocabulary and communication related to:
Propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery
Hydraulic & mechanical components
Maintenance terminology, procedures, and reporting
Course syllabus and learning objectives
Custom training materials + terminology glossary
Interactive exercises + assessments
Pre- and post-course evaluations
Attendance records + completion certificates
Training materials submitted for review/approval 2 months prior
to course start
Proven experience teaching Technical English
(ESP) to adult learners in technical environments.Strong understanding of marine/mechanical systems terminology (naval/maritime preferred).
Excellent facilitation and classroom management skills.
Strong report writing and stakeholder communication.
Prior experience training Arabic-speaking learners / multicultural classrooms
Maritime/naval training, technical documentation, or onboard maintenance exposure
