Construction HSE Engineer

Hours/rotation: 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid)

Role Description
- Construction HSE Engineer reports to the HSM or, while they are the TCM HSE representative at site, reports to the Site Manager.
- Verifies and ensures that all field activities are performed according to the TCM HSE policy, the regulations, standards and procedures, promoting all preventive and corrective action as required.
- Perform job hazardous analysis (JHA) and participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Verify the adequacy and application of the site HSE plan and all related procedures, and prepare any revisions.
- Update HSE documentation during all construction phases when necessary.
- Ensure subcontractors perform activities in accordance with all applicable HSE procedures, regulations and standards, promoting necessary actions to ensure compliance.
- Organize, plan and participate in periodic HSE walk‑around, inspections and audits on site; prepare related reports, action plans, verify follow‑up and timely execution of corrective action.
- Organize, coordinate and directly participate in HSE training activities on site.
- Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE meetings; prepare minutes of meetings.
- Cooperate with the client concerning the issue of any necessary work permits.
- In case of work accidents, organize a full investigation of the event, resulting in identification of corrective measures to avoid recurrence.
- Keep accident records, identifying areas where prevention must be addressed.
- Perform or promote the indoctrination/training of personnel.
- Lead and coordinate off‑site HSE committee activities (composed of all contractor and subcontractor HSE representatives).
- Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team; organize training and emergency drill mock activities.
- Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical reports.
- Prepare and update the site HSE statistics, verify performance versus project and corporate HSE objectives, targets and performance indicators.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering Course.
- NEBOSH GC/IGC, Diploma in Safety or any other HSE Certification (considered at ADNOC Group discretion).
- Additional HSE Trainings/Certifications are an advantage.
- ADNOC approved qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience.
- Significant experience in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects / Refinery.
- Pipeline work is mandatory for this vacancy.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international food safety standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
