Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Manager Production Planning reports to the Senior Manager Production Planning and Control and is responsible for all CAR M, CAR 145 and EASA Part-145 requirements related to Production planning required for maintenance operation, ensuring Etihad Airway’s safety, airworthiness and economic objectives are met in an efficient manner.
Accountabilities- Manage the development of New Aircraft Type Capability in liaison with QA Assurance and other key stakeholders.
- Evaluates the need of resources required to crew the demand of the operator’s maintenance planning forecast.
- Develop a plan to deliver efficient planning, reduction of TAT (turn-around time), high value of safety, and cost reduction.
- Oversee the Technical assessment functions for all EY & Third-Party tasks & work packages to ensure compliance with EASA and GCAA regulations.
- Collaborate with Supply chain to maximize efficiency in processes
- Define optimum plans to maximize the output of resources to meet budgetary targets.
- Determine the demand for facilities, tooling, and materials to ensure execution of the maintenance forecast in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manage people to drive engagement, productivity, and innovation.
- Introduce effective check management system focused on Production Control.
- Coordinate with Cost Controller to periodically analyse post-check reports and identify areas for improvements
- Collaborate with Production in production risk assessment and mitigation activities
- Constantly review and revise TPM and MOE procedures and ensure active implementation of the Survey
- A minimum of 10 years aviation industry experience / at least 5 years of management experience in a similar role is essential.
- Valid aircraft maintenance license (UAE GCAA/EASA Part 66 or equivalent Degree / diploma in the field of of Human Resource or Resource Management / Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical /Electronic Engineering
- Has attended the Mandatory Induction Training within 6 months of joining the company as per TPM 3.92 requirements
- At least 5 years in a managing teams responsible for production planning, maintenance scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated aviation environment, with strong knowledge of EASA, GCAA, and CAR M / Part-145 requirements
- Proven track record in:
- Optimizing maintenance turnaround time (TAT), Improving resource utilisation and productivity, Delivering cost efficiencies while maintaining safety and compliance.
- Familiarity with AMOS and planning tools
- Experience supporting or leading heavy checks, line maintenance, and third-party maintenance work packages:
- Exposure to new aircraft type induction and capability development is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret maintenance data, post-check reports, and cost analyses to drive continuous improvement.
- People leader with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop high-performing teams;
Strong stakeholder management skills.
