Senior Piping Engineer

Job Description

• Lead and perform piping design and engineering activities from FEED to detailed engineering.
• Prepare and review piping layouts, GA drawings, isometrics, spool drawings, and MTOs
  .
• Develop and review P&IDs, piping specifications, line lists, and valve lists
  .
• Ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, ASTM
  , and client‑specific standards.
• Perform pipe sizing, material selection
  , and routing optimization.
• Coordinate stress analysis requirements with stress engineers and review outputs.
• Review vendor drawings and technical documents.

• Interface with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation
  , and construction teams.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, model reviews
  , and client meetings.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning
  .
• Resolve design‑related issues during construction and site execution.

• Use piping design software such as PDMS, E3D, SP3D, AutoCAD, Smart Plant
  .
• Review 3D models for constructability, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Prepare engineering deliverables using project document control procedures.

• Ensure engineering deliverables meet project quality requirements
  .
• Follow HSE guidelines and promote safe design practices.
• Support audits and design compliance checks.

• Guide and mentor junior piping engineers and designers.
• Review and approve drawings and calculations prepared by team members.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, and supports
  .
• Excellent understanding of codes, standards, and industry best practices
  .
• Ability to work independently and lead design activities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Client‑facing experience preferred.
