Job Description
- Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems as per project requirements.
- Perform functional tests, system integration tests, loop checks, and site acceptance tests (SAT).
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems during testing and commissioning.
- Ensure that all systems are tested in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, commissioning records, and documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth commissioning processes.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users or operators on system functionality and operation.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines during all commissioning activities.
- Conduct final inspections and verification of electrical and instrumentation equipment functionality before handover.
- Recommend modifications or improvements based on test results and operational feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in industries such as oil & gas, power plants, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and commissioning procedures for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and control diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools, instruments, and software used in electrical and instrumentation commissioning processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Certification in commissioning processes (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional - CCP) is a plus.
- Experience with PLC/SCADA systems, DCS, control systems, or industrial automation is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of hazardous area classifications, ATEX standards, and intrinsically safe instrumentation is beneficial.
