About the Client
Our client is a leading contracting organization headquartered in Abu Dhabi, delivering large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects across the UAE. Operating under a global holding structure, the company is recognized for its financial discipline, transparency, and strong project governance.
Role OverviewThe HSE Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental programs across major contracting projects, including civil, infrastructure, and luxury residential developments. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure compliance with UAE regulations, international standards, and company policies while fostering a strong safety culture across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities- HSE Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with project and organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with UAE laws, international standards, and client requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the organization.
- Monitoring & Compliance
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Monitor performance against HSE KPIs and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of incidents, near misses, and corrective measures.
- Training & Awareness
- Deliver HSE training programs for employees, subcontractors, and site staff.
- Organize safety campaigns and awareness initiatives to reinforce best practices.
- Provide guidance on emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Support value engineering initiatives by integrating safety into project planning.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure seamless integration of HSE practices.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and clients.
- Proven track record in HSE management roles within contracting, construction, or infrastructure organizations.
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, international HSE standards, and best practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems.
- Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
