Construction Manager - OHL | UAE

As a Construction Manager – Overhead Line (OHL) Projects
, you will be responsible for leading and managing the construction of overhead transmission line projects ranging from 11 kV up to 400 kV
. The role requires full ownership of site execution activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, safety regulations, quality standards, contractual requirements, and client expectations throughout the construction phase until handover.

• Managing and overseeing the full construction lifecycle of OHL projects, including tower foundation works, tower erection, conductor stringing, sagging, testing, and final handover.
• Coordinating closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely site execution.
• Reviewing project drawings, route surveys, method statements, and work procedures to ensure full technical and contractual compliance.
• Monitoring construction progress, manpower deployment, equipment, and site resources to meet project schedules and milestones.
• Leading site teams and enforcing strict adherence to HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and quality standards.
• Identifying construction risks, delays, and site constraints, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
• Preparing and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, manpower plans, and quality documentation.
• Chairing site coordination meetings and providing regular updates to project management and senior leadership.
• Supporting testing, inspection, and commissioning activities to ensure successful project completion and handover.

We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction of overhead transmission line projects (
  11 kV / 22 kV / 33 kV / 132 kV / 220 kV / 400 kV
  ).
• Previous experience in the UAE or GCC region with transmission utilities such as TRANSCO, DEWA, ADDC, SEC, or Kahramaa is highly desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge of tower foundations, erection methods, conductor stringing, sagging, and OHL safety practices.
• Familiarity with EPC project execution, quality standards, surveying, route alignment, and right-of-way management.
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office
  , and construction reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
• Fluency in English;
  Arabic is an advantage.
