5D BIM Specialist
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for a 5D BIM Specialist to join their growing team in Abu Dhabi.
What You'll Be Doing:- Develop and manage 5D BIM models using COST OS or COST X software to integrate cost data with design and construction models.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment, and write supporting estimate narratives.
- Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and validate cost data from BIM models.
- Lead estimate task teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with stakeholders to align cost estimates with project goals.
- Provide training on 5D BIM processes and stay updated on advancements in BIM technologies and cost estimating practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in cost estimating and/or BIM-related roles, with a strong focus on 5D BIM processes.
- Proven experience using COST OS or COST X software for cost estimation and BIM integration.
- Proficiency in 5D BIM modeling and cost estimation.
- Experience working on large-scale engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contract documents, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write detailed estimate narratives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for performing complex cost analysis and benchmarking.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard estimating tools and practices, as well as construction methodologies.
- Certification in BIM or cost estimating (e.g., RICS, AACE, or similar).
- Passion for innovation and collaboration in combining advanced BIM technologies with cost estimating expertise.
