Canadian International School (CIS), Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate, student-centered Inclusion Teacher to join our dynamic learning community for the 2026–2027 academic year. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi. The Inclusion Teacher will work closely with students requiring additional support to ensure their academic, social, and emotional needs are met. Responsibilities include designing and delivering individualized education plans, collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff, and engaging students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
The teacher will also work with parents to provide support and progress updates.
Applicants must meet ADEK qualification and eligibility requirements for Inclusion/SEN teachers in Abu Dhabi:
Education & Qualifications- A Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Inclusion, SEN, or a related field
OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education plus a recognized postgraduate qualification in Special Education/Inclusion
AND
- A recognized teaching qualification/license (e.g.,
B.Ed., PGCE, provincial/state teaching license, preferably Alberta Certification)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience in inclusion, special education, or learning support
- Experience working in an international or multicultural school setting preferred
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Experience supporting students with diverse needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech/language needs)
- Understanding of assessment accommodations and curriculum adaptation
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and assistive technologies
- Experience using data to monitor intervention effectiveness
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
