Research Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a research assistant for a two-year research study focused on the entrepreneurial interests and activities of female students study aims to understand how female students experience university-level entrepreneurship development initiatives in the UAE. Specifically, the role of engagement with established women entrepreneurs through social networks and its influence in shaping their entrepreneurial orientations is under consideration.
The RA position requires an individual with the following competencies, skills, and characteristics:
Qualifications- Minimum Qualification:
Master’s degree (or currently studying a Master’s degree) in entrepreneurship or a related field, ideally from an AACSB-accredited institution. - Preferred
Qualification:
Master’s degree specializing in Entrepreneurship or Business Administration.
- Excellent English speaking and writing abilities, as well as full proficiency in Arabic.
- Experience with data collection and analysis using surveys, interviews, and observation.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills to coordinate meetings and logistics related to networking events.
- Familiarity with the UAE entrepreneurial ecosystem and comfortable communicating with a range of different nationalities and personalities.
- Willingness to take direction from the study investigators and to work hard in a collegial manner with the rest of the research team.
- Interest in women’s entrepreneurship in the UAE.
The position is full‑time with some flexibility and is based in Al Ain initial contract will be for a 12‑month period, with the possibility of an extension for a second year. Residents of the UAE are preferable as the position will start as soon as possible.
