Position: Teacher - MFL - Aldar Education (AY 26/27)

Responsibilities

To inspire, engage, and challenge students in their formative years by creating a nurturing and play-based learning environment. To deliver high quality teaching and inclusive learning experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and support students’ academic, social, and personal development.

  • Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to succeed in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Work alongside fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues professionally and work flexibly
  • Work with parents to ensure the happiness and best academic outcomes for all students
  • Work cooperatively with curriculum support staff (where applicable) to support student development
  • Act as a form tutor and support the pastoral needs of students
  • Teaching and Learning: a clear understanding of the British curriculum from Year 6 to Year 13
  • Ability to teach French and Spanish from Year 6 to Year 13
  • Organise classroom provision, learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Plan, prepare and present sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the classes taught
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching
  • Observe and assess children in line with the school assessment policy
  • Reflect on classroom provision, sessions taught, progress made, and adjust environment, planning and curriculum to reflect this
  • Ensure the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes are embedded throughout the curriculum
  • Assessment and Data: taking responsibility for the progress of classes taught
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of students’ development using the school's designated assessment system
  • Use data provided by assessments to influence further planning, provision and intervention
  • Provide feedback to parents and carers on a student’s progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings
  • Behaviour Management and Duties: follow and proactively implement the school’s Behaviour Policy
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students’ needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Maintain excellent relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary within the school’s Behaviour Policy
  • Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour expected of pupils
  • Have high expectations of behaviour, promoting self-control and independence of all learners
  • Ensure the Mamoura Values DNA language and attitudes are embedded throughout the curriculum
