Job Description Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Mathematics (Middle School) to join Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in the 2026–2027 academic year

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Curriculum for effective implementation to match learning outcomes.
  • Teach using appropriate syllabus, materials, and schemes of work to develop students’ skills in mathematics.
  • Organize the classroom provision and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and present sessions that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
  • Plan lessons and sequences of lessons consistently and effectively, in the long, medium and short-term, to meet pupils’ individual learning needs.
  • Create a climate for learning conducive to delivering outstanding practice.
  • Motivate students by delivering enjoyable and creative lessons that challenge pupils and promote critical thinking.
  • Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and ensure student achievement against these.
  • Reflect on classroom provision, sessions taught, and progress, adjusting environment, planning and curriculum as needed.
  • Support SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students, ensuring needs are met through differentiation.
  • Facilitate Hybrid / Distance Learning / Face to Face lessons.
Behaviour management and duties
  • Follow the school’s established policies and procedures, e.g., behaviour, code of conduct and child safeguarding policy.
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches appropriate to students’ needs to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise authority, and act decisively within the school’s policies.
  • Be a positive role model and demonstrate the attitudes and behaviour expected of pupils.
  • Have high expectations of good conduct, promoting self-control and independence of all learners.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth for all students.
  • Carry out duties as directed within the school’s policies.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role.
