Position Overview

The Senior Interior Designer – Site will play a key role in the delivery of a landmark 7-star hospitality development in Abu Dhabi. The position requires a highly experienced interior designer capable of overseeing the implementation of complex design concepts during the construction phase while ensuring that the design intent is fully realised on site.

Working closely with the Resident Engineer, international design consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders, the successful candidate will act as the guardian of the interior design vision, ensuring the highest standards of quality, detailing, and execution throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate all interior design works on site, ensuring alignment with approved IFC drawings, specifications, and design intent.
  • Act as the design guardian, ensuring all interior elements meet the standards expected within a luxury 7‑star hospitality environment.
  • Review design documentation including layouts, detailed drawings, finishes, and FF&E specifications.
  • Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, material samples, mock‑ups, and fixtures to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Respond to RFIs related to interior design and provide technical guidance where required.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and proper installation of interior finishes and bespoke elements.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and international design teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Participate in project coordination and design meetings, providing technical input and practical solutions.
  • Evaluate alternative proposals or value engineering options while maintaining design integrity.
  • Prepare progress updates and design compliance reports and support client presentations where required.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of luxury materials, finishes, and FF&E suppliers relevant to high‑end hospitality projects.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role on hospitality projects.
  • Proven experience delivering five-star or luxury hotel developments, preferably within the UAE or Middle East.
  • Strong expertise in joinery detailing, millwork, and bespoke interior elements.
  • Solid understanding of UAE regulations, authority requirements, and construction processes.
  • Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills when working with multidisciplinary teams.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of FF&E specification, materials, and luxury hospitality design standards.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working on luxury hospitality projects is a MUST.
  • Exposure to projects in Europe or North America.
  • Knowledge of global trends in high‑end hospitality design.
