Senior Landscape Visualizer

Overview

The Senior Landscape Visualizer plays a key role in strengthening the design-to-visualization workflow across landscape projects. This role goes beyond traditional rendering and focuses on integrating visualization directly into the design process, supporting design development, coordination, and client communication. The Senior Visualizer will work closely with Landscape Architects to develop accurate, design-led 3D models and real-time visualizations that clearly communicate intent, scale, materiality, and spatial quality from early concept through detailed stages.

• Lead the development of design-accurate 3D models using Rhino, Sketch Up, and Revit, aligned with live project geometry and evolving design intent.
• Produce high-quality real-time visualizations (stills, animations, walkthroughs) using Lumion, D5 Render, and Enscape for concept, client presentations, and design reviews.
• Support design validation workflows, including scale checks, material studies, lighting mood testing, and spatial clarity.
• Translate 2D drawings (plans, sections, details) into coordinated 3D environments that reflect technical constraints and design logic, not just visual aesthetics.
• Work closely with project teams to refine design narratives through visuals, ensuring consistency between drawings, models, and rendered outputs.
• Set up and manage efficient model pipelines between Rhino / Sketch Up / Revit and real-time engines to reduce rework and improve turnaround times.
• Maintain and curate an internal asset library (plants, materials, furniture, lighting, entourage) aligned with office standards and regional context.
• Support bids, competitions, and key client presentations with clear, controlled, and design-driven visuals.
• Mentor junior visualizers and designers on best practices for modeling, scene setup, and real-time rendering workflows.
• Stay up to date with visualization tools and workflows, actively contributing to workflow optimization and tool adoption within the office.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Visualization, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in architectural or landscape visualization, preferably within a multidisciplinary design consultancy.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Rhino
  • Sketch Up
  • Revit
  • Lumion
  • D5 Render
  • Enscape
  • Photoshop
• Solid understanding of landscape architecture principles, spatial composition, materials, planting logic, and terrain modeling.
• Experience working with live design models, not isolated visualization files.
• Strong grasp of lighting, atmosphere, scale, and environmental storytelling.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining design accuracy and visual quality.
• Comfortable receiving and implementing design feedback in an iterative workflow.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience with Grasshopper-assisted workflows
• Familiarity with VR / immersive presentations
