Job Description
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the face of our hospitality establishment, welcoming and assisting our guests with professionalism and warmth. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression and for providing seamless services that enhance our guests' overall experience. You will handle check‑ins and check‑outs efficiently, manage reservations, and address guest inquiries with courtesy and accuracy.
This position is vital in maintaining the reputation of our establishment, as it involves direct interaction with guests and requires a keen attention to detail. Those in this role must be adept at problem‑solving, ready to provide solutions swiftly to guest issues, thereby ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Greet guests with a warm and professional demeanor upon arrival.
- Efficiently manage the check‑in and check‑out processes for guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrival.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
- Process reservations and maintain communication with the reservation team.
- Manage billing processes, including the handling of guest folios and payments.
- Provide guests with information about the hotel and surrounding area attractions.
- Assist guests with special requests and coordinate with necessary departments.
- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Operate the switchboard, answering and transferring calls professionally.
- Follow established safety and security procedures to ensure guest safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required for applicants.
- Previous front desk or customer service experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient in using computers and hotel management software systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A professional appearance and the ability to uphold a friendly, polite demeanor.
