Position: Events Management Specialist (Fixed-Term – 2 Months)

Job Summary

The Event Management SME provides expert guidance, and operational leadership for the execution, and evaluation of high‑quality events. The role ensures that all events—whether internal, external, or strategic flagship events—are delivered to exceptional standards, aligned with organizational objectives, stakeholder expectations, and best industry practices. The SME oversees end‑to‑end event lifecycle management, offers specialized consultancy, and supports continuous improvement across event-related processes, tools, and capabilities.

Please note:

This is a short-term, fixed-duration contract of two (2) months with no automatic extension.

Key Responsibilities Event Execution
  • Lead end‑to‑end planning: concept design, budgeting, scheduling, logistics, vendor coordination, and onsite management.
  • Ensure risk assessments, contingency planning, and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Maintain high production quality for ceremonies, conferences, workshops, and community events.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
  • Liaise with internal departments, external partners, vendors, and sponsors.
  • Provide expert consultation to internal teams to improve event quality and consistency.
  • Manage contracts, service agreements, and performance of suppliers.
Quality Assurance & Performance Management
  • Develop event evaluation frameworks.
  • Conduct post‑event assessments, impact evaluations, and lessons‑learned reviews.
  • Implement continuous improvements to enhance attendee experience.
Innovation & Industry Insights
  • Stay current with global event management trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Recommend new tools, digital platforms, and technologies to optimize event delivery.
  • Promote sustainability and accessibility principles in all event designs.
Role Expectations

  • Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to evaluate event success and identify improvements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and project teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Preferred:
    Master’s degree or specialized certification in event management, e.g., CMP (Certified Meeting Professional), CEM (Certified Exhibition Manager), or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in professional event management, with proven leadership in planning and executing large‑scale events.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, teams, vendors, and complex logistical operations.
  • Experience with hybrid/virtual event platforms is desired
