Our client in the building construction and main contracting industry is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to support site operations by performing accurate surveying and setting-out activities for construction projects. The role involves using advanced surveying equipment, verifying construction layouts, and ensuring that all site measurements align with approved drawings and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have UAE experience in building construction projects and strong technical knowledge of surveying practices, instruments, and construction drawings.

The candidate must be able to coordinate effectively with site engineers, project teams, and subcontractors to ensure precise project execution.

• Operate and handle Sokkia surveying instruments, including Total Station and Automatic Level, with high accuracy.
• Select appropriate surveying instruments for site activities and ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and accuracy of equipment.
• Perform surveying and setting-out works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Use AutoCAD and surveying-related software for plotting, measurements, and preparation of as-built drawings.
• Receive site layout drawings, coordinates, and project boundaries from the Site Engineer and verify them before execution.
• Review construction drawings by checking and verifying all design coordinates, alignments, and levels prior to site execution.
• Monitor excavation works and ensure that correct boundaries, dimensions, and levels are maintained.
• Carry out setting out and marking of building axes, reference points, and benchmarks.
• Perform setting out for raft foundations, columns, slabs, masonry works, and other structural elements.
• Conduct survey follow-up for infrastructure networks such as drainage, water, sewer, and electrical systems.
• Conduct survey follow-up for landscaping works, including levels, slopes, and alignment.
• Prepare and maintain survey records, reports, and as-built data as required by the project.
• Coordinate closely with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate execution of works.
• Work efficiently across multiple sites with different layouts, drawings, and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations at all times.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of UAE experience in building construction surveying
  .
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of building construction surveying practices in the UAE
  .
• Excellent understanding of construction drawings, coordinates, levels, and site control points.
• Proficiency in using Sokkia surveying instruments
  , including Total Station and Automatic Level.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and surveying-related software for plotting and as-built drawings.
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with site teams and project engineers.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple project requirements simultaneously.
• UAE driving license will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in high-rise or residential/commercial building projects is preferred.
