PRIMARY PURPOSE

The SOP Specialist is responsible for leading enterprise-wide SOP governance, process standardization, and documentation excellence across the organization. The role ensures operational consistency, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment of procedures with strategic objectives. This position combines hands‑on process design, cross‑functional collaboration, and governance oversight to strengthen operational control and business scalability.

RESPONSIBILITIES 01. SOP Governance & Standardization
  • Lead the development, review, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures across critical business functions.
  • Establish and enforce SOP governance frameworks, documentation standards, and version control protocols.
  • Ensure consistency in formatting, terminology, and structural standards across all documentation.
  • Maintain centralized SOP repositories with full audit readiness and accessibility.
02. Process Design & Optimization
  • Conduct detailed process mapping and gap analysis to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive cross‑functional process standardization initiatives.
  • Redesign and optimize workflows to enhance operational efficiency and control.
  • Support automation and digital workflow improvements where applicable.
  • Identify operational and compliance risks embedded within processes.
  • Develop mitigation strategies aligned with regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Ensure SOP alignment with internal policies, industry regulations, and audit expectations.
  • Support internal and external audit reviews related to process documentation.
04. Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory
  • Partner with department heads and senior leadership to align procedures with business strategy.
  • Facilitate process validation workshops and alignment sessions.
  • Provide advisory support on best‑practice process governance and standardization.
  • Promote a culture of structured process ownership and accountability.
05. Continuous Improvement & Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor SOP adherence and recommend enhancements based on operational feedback.
  • Track process efficiency indicators and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead periodic SOP reviews to ensure relevance and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across business units.
06. Other Duties

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A. Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications in process management or governance are an advantage.
B. Experience
  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in SOP development and process governance within a regulated industry.
  • Strong consultancy background with exposure to cross‑industry best practices preferred.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional process standardization initiatives.
  • Proven involvement in audit or compliance‑driven environments.
  • Strong analytical and process re‑engineering capabilities.
  • Advanced documentation and governance expertise.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and workflow platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • SOP Compliance Rate:
    Percentage of departments adhering to documented procedures.
  • SOP Update Cycle Time:
    Average time to review and approve procedural updates.
  • Process Efficiency Improvement:
    Measurable reduction in process completion time.
  • Audit Findings:
    Reduction in SOP‑related audit observations.
  • Repository Accuracy:
    Percentage of SOPs maintained under proper version control.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction:
    Positive feedback from department heads and auditors.
