Role Purpose

The Sponsorship Manager is responsible for developing, selling, and managing high-value sponsor ships and strategic partnerships that support the growth, positioning, and commercial success of a flagship global investment and economic development forum.

This role leads the sponsorship strategy across the Forum’s main annual event, year‑round activations, international roadshows, and digital platforms. Working closely with senior leadership, government stakeholders, and private‑sector partners, the Sponsorship Manager ensures the platform attracts world‑class partners aligned with key economic priorities while delivering strong commercial returns and long‑term partner value.

The role combines strategic partnership development with hands‑on sales execution, relationship management, and delivery oversight, ensuring sponsors receive measurable outcomes, visibility, and access to high‑quality investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Sponsorship Strategy & Revenue Generation
  • Develop and execute the sponsorship and partnership strategy in line with long‑term vision and commercial objectives
  • Own sponsorship revenue targets across all events, activations, and platforms
  • Design tiered sponsorship packages and bespoke partnership opportunities aligned to priority sectors and investor audiences
  • Identify new revenue streams and innovative partnership models that support the evolution into a year‑round platform
Partner Acquisition & Relationship Management
  • Lead end‑to‑end sponsorship sales, from prospecting and pitching through negotiation and contract closure
  • Build and manage long‑term relationships with senior executives, investors, financial institutions, multinational corporations, and ecosystem partners
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for sponsors, ensuring clarity of deliverables and a high‑quality partner experience
  • Retain and grow existing sponsors through renewals and upsell opportunities
Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams, government entities, and delivery partners to align sponsor objectives with forum programming
  • Coordinate with content, programming, and operations teams to ensure sponsor deliverables are seamlessly integrated
  • Liaise with marketing and communications teams to maximise sponsor visibility, branding, and thought‑leadership opportunities
  • Support senior leadership with sponsorship reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations
Sponsorship Delivery & Governance
  • Oversee fulfilment of sponsorship agreements, ensuring all entitlements, activations, and brand placements are delivered to a high standard
  • Manage sponsorship contracts, documentation, invoicing, and reporting in line with organisational policies
  • Track sponsor performance, satisfaction, and ROI, ensuring measurable outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to sponsor expectations, reputational alignment, and delivery quality
Market Intelligence & Strategic Development
  • Monitor global investment forums, sponsorship trends, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive and differentiated proposition
  • Gather sponsor feedback and market insights to inform future sponsorship strategy and package development
  • Contribute to the long‑term positioning of the Forum as a premium, investor‑centric global platform

Essential
  • Experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, business development, or commercial roles within events, investment platforms, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of securing high‑value sponsor ships and managing senior‑level partner relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with government entities, financial institutions, or multinational organisations.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and deliver under pressure.
