Job Purpose

Research Administration Support Officer possuiré providing support and a range of Technical and Administrative services to affiliated research activities within the office of the SVP, R & D and relevant areas.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative services to the office of Senior Vice President.
  • Assist with maintaining all documentation for research related programs such as policies, procedures, guidelines and course manuals, coordinating internally with relevant departments to ensure the most current documents are maintained.
  • Support in research data collection, reporting and analysis.
  • Provide support for the analysis of collected data to indicate the performance of the overall research unit and/or subunits.
  • Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
  • Coordinate with research teams, faculty, and external partners to gather and compile necessary information.
  • Provide support for coordinating publications and information management on research publications.
  • Maintain appropriate records of research leave outcomes.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative services around research conferences and workshops.
  • Handle logistics, including venue booking, catering, and travel arrangementsscratch for participants.
  • Prepare and distribute event materials, manage registrations, and provide on-site support during events.

  • Process invoices,_STANDARD, reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
  • Maintain a database of research activities, grants, publications, and other relevant information.
  • Provide general financial administrative services and support for the work area.
  • Undertake ad‑hoc projects and other activities as required.
  • Manage work‑stream stakeholders and communications, ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork with other project teams and stakeholders across the University.
  • Prepare compliance reporting and store data that is collected from research projects for further analysis.

    D.
  • Adhere to the University's information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment and practice to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
