We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional outpatient care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Required Skills:
  • Board certification or pending certification in Hematology/Oncology
  • Virginia Medical License
  • DEA certification
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of 1-year clinical experience
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC Beacon
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Experience with infusion therapy and outpatient oncology procedures
  • Prior experience working in hospital outpatient departments
  • Knowledge of radiation oncology coordination
  • Multilingual abilities
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Active Virginia medical license
  • Completion of fellowship in Hematology/Oncology
  • At least 1 year of outpatient oncology experience
Other Requirements:
  • Availability for Monday-Thursday clinic from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional Friday clinics every third week
  • Participation in 24-hour and call shifts every third week, including night and weekend call coverage
  • Support staff collaboration, including nurse navigators, radiation oncologists, dieticians, and advanced practice providers
  • Willingness to facilitate timely credentialing (approximately 60-90 days)
  • Ability to provide coverage at multiple locations, including infusion centers and radiation oncology centers
  • All travel expenses (airfare, hotel, car rental) are billable
