Description This is an entry‑level, on‑site contract position that provides a unique opportunity to work in a vital medical practice focused on the treatment and care of patients with blood disorders and cancer.
As a Locum Hematology Oncology physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. This position will allow you to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment, contributing to patient treatment plans and assisting in the management of complex cases.
esponsibilities- Conduct patient evaluations and assessments in Hematology Oncology
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Hematology Oncology
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation
- Strong interest in Hematology Oncology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Basic knowledge of medical software and electronic health records
- Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (8a-4:30p) and every third Friday - Call Requirement:
Monday-Sunday, every 3 weeks
Setting:
Outpatient
Patient Volume: 12-15 per day
Patient Population:
Ages 18+
Support Staff: NPs, RNs, nurse navigators, dieticians, and palliative care
EMR:
Epic Beacon
Must be board-certified
