Locum MD; Medical Doctor), DO; Osteopathic Doctor Hematology Oncology

Description This is an entry‑level, on‑site contract position that provides a unique opportunity to work in a vital medical practice focused on the treatment and care of patients with blood disorders and cancer.

As a Locum Hematology Oncology physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. This position will allow you to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment, contributing to patient treatment plans and assisting in the management of complex cases.

• Conduct patient evaluations and assessments in Hematology Oncology
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in Hematology Oncology

• MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation
• Strong interest in Hematology Oncology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
• Basic knowledge of medical software and electronic health records
• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Thursday (8a-4:30p) and every third Friday
• Call Requirement:
  Monday-Sunday, every 3 weeks

Setting:
Outpatient

Patient Volume: 12-15 per day

Patient Population:
Ages 18+

Support Staff: NPs, RNs, nurse navigators, dieticians, and palliative care

EMR:
Epic Beacon

Must be board-certified
