Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician Make a Difference in Patient Care

Elevate your medical career by joining a leading Hematology/Oncology outpatient department dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care. This vital role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, supporting patients 18 and older with personalized treatment plans, utilizing advanced EMR systems, and working alongside a dedicated team of Nurse Practitioners, RNs, and specialists. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in a supportive, well-equipped outpatient setting integrated with infusion and radiation centers.

Key Skills and

Qualifications:
  • Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology or pending exam certification
  • Virginia medical license (active or pending)
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in hematology/oncology
  • BLS certification
  • DEA registration
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Experience with EPIC Beacon EMR system
  • Prior outpatient hematology/oncology practice
  • Additional certifications such as ACLS
  • Knowledge of infusion therapy procedures
  • Flu vaccination compliance
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
  • Proven experience working with adult patient populations in outpatient settings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a patient load of patients daily
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday through Thursday, with every third Friday clinic
  • Participation in rotating call schedule (every 3 weeks), including night and weekend call duties
  • Credentialing completion within 60-90 days; temporary privileges available
  • Willingness to travel billable expenses covered
  • Valid DEA registration required; vaccines such as flu are mandatory
