Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager (ATM) to join the Family Solutions Plus (FSP) Team. This is a fantastic locum opportunity for a motivated and knowledgeable practitioner who is passionate about safeguarding and supporting children, young people, and families.

Your new role
As ATM, you'll support the delivery of high‑quality social care practice-with no case‑holding responsibilities-providing supervision and oversight across complex safeguarding and long‑term work.

No case-holding
Hybrid working:
Minimum 2 office days (Thursday required)

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm (4pm finish on Fridays)

Location:

Didcot & Henley Family Solutions Plus Team

Contract:

3 months, full time (37 hours)
What you'll need to succeed

You'll be a confident and reflective practitioner with the ability to support and guide social workers within a busy FSP environment. Strong communication skills, effective decision‑making, and a commitment to high standards of practice are essential.

✔ Minimum 3 years' post‑qualification experience ✔ Strong track record in safeguarding ✔ Long‑term work experience ✔ Court experience essential ✔ Ability to provide supervision and oversight of complex practice ✔ Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
