Business Development Manager – Performance Aftermarket

As we continue to expand our presence in this space, we’re looking for a driven, commercially minded professional to help accelerate our growth.
We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to lead sales growth in the performance aftermarket segment. You’ll identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and represent the Zircotec brand within a passionate, technically savvy community, showcasing the real‑world advantages of our patented thermal management solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and own the business development strategy for the performance aftermarket sector.
- Identify, engage and convert new customers including tuning companies, aftermarket parts manufacturers and performance workshops.
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their technical and commercial needs.
- Demonstrate and promote the benefits of Zircotec’s patented thermal barrier coatings, structural heat shielding and flexible heat shielding.
- Attend industry events, trade shows and automotive gatherings to build visibility and generate leads.
- Collaborate with engineering, production and marketing teams to deliver targeted solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to shape future product and service offerings.
- Strong sales and business development background within the automotive performance, motor sport or engineering aftermarket sectors.
- A well‑established contact book across the performance aftermarket, tuning and specialist vehicle communities.
- Technical understanding of performance parts beneficial (exhausts, manifolds, induction, thermal management, coatings, etc.).
- Natural relationship‑builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self‑driven, commercially analytical and motivated by target‑based growth.
- Comfortable representing a premium, innovation‑led brand and delivering consultative sales solutions.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as and when required.
- Full UK driving license.
- Performance based bonus scheme.
- Hybrid role available for the right candidate.
- Death in service payment of 3 x annual salary.
- Pension contributions matching up to 5%.
- 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays. Increasing by one day per year to a total of 30 days after five years of service.
