Overview
Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations. It is a physically demanding, high-intensity role that keeps our stores running like clockwork. You will be responsible for stock, deliveries and the vital behind-the-scenes work that ensures our shop floor stays full, clean, and ready for our customers to shop. You will be fast, focused, and always one step ahead, keeping the flow of products moving with urgency and accuracy.
WorkPattern
Various shift times ending at 23:00. This will be discussed at interview stage.

- Stock, deliveries and the vital behind-the-scenes work that keeps the shop floor full, clean, and ready for customers
- Be fast, focused, and proactive to maintain flow of products with urgency and accuracy
- Flexibility to work across the wider store as needed to meet pace and demands
- Maintain digital confidence to track deliveries and manage stock efficiently
- Be a team player, supporting colleagues across the store
- Adapt to shift patterns from early morning deliveries to late-day stock movements

Key Accountabilities- Serve our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points
- Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring shelves are always stocked
- Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities
- Proactively engage with customers to understand needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service
- Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend products and services
- Receive training to utilise digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer
- High levels of customer service
- Commitment to delivering excellent work with attention to detail
- Open to feedback and actively seeks it
- Accountability for planning and managing own workload efficiently
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptable to changing situations
