Technical Support Engineer | First Line Support | Helpdesk Support | Second Line Support
I'm recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer with strong 1st line capabilities to work for a client who are located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The role is 4 days a week at home and 1 day in the office which is an excellent offer for work-life-balance.
The role would suit someone who comes from a strong Helpdesk/Service Desk background working in a 1st/2nd Line Support capacity acting as the first point of call for all queries and tickets to external customers.
Using technical knowledge and troubleshooting you will either solve the ticket or escalate it to the next level of support. The company work in an ITIL environment so any experience working to these standards would be advantageous.
Technologies such as VMware, Networking, Windows/Linux OS, ESXi etc. areal required for this role along with good troubleshooting skills.
The company themselves work in the Cyber Security space as well as other areas so it's a really good industry to get in to.
The salary on offer is around the £30,000 mark as base salary which, considering the small fortune you will save working 4 days a week at home (i.e. commuting costs, lunch costs etc.) is a great salary for such a role.
