We're looking for a Materials Planner to play a pivotal role in driving the success of next-generation AR hardware manufacturing at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

In this role, you’ll manage end-to-end material planning across multiple production and prototype sites- ensuring timely material availability, optimising inventory, and supporting both high-volume production and rapid innovation cycles. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at the intersection of Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations — ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and loves solving complex logistical challenges.

In addition, you will:
* Maintain accurate and timely material availability in Snap’s ERP systems, ensuring seamless material transactions and visibility.
* Manage material levels and movement across multiple plants, supporting production and prototype builds, including consumables, in close coordination with Production Planning and Engineering teams.
* Lead inventory control and cycle count programs, including year-end reconciliations, to uphold high standards of inventory accuracy.
* Manage the end-to-end process from purchase requisition to supplier payment, which involves creating purchase orders, verifying invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance.
* Create, release, and track work orders; manage material staging tasks; and ensure timely execution of production activities.
* Monitor order fulfillment status, proactively communicate with internal stakeholders, and collaborate with supply planning to mitigate material shortages or delays.
* Support Demand Planning and assist in other material management activities to ensure continuity and efficiency across the Materials team.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Strong ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams — including Engineering, Operations, and Asia-based Supply Chain partners
* Proven success managing multiple NPI (New Product Introduction) builds with precision and urgency.
* Working knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) structure, build readiness reports, and production planning workflows.
* Hands-on experience with ERP and MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) for reviewing material movements, shortages, and delivery documentation.
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive informed decisions.
* Expertise in inventory management and forecasting methodologies, with strong command of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build alignment and influence stakeholders across levels and regions.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities — capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* A minimum of 4 years experience in material planning, demand planning, or supply planning.
* Proficiency with ERP software (SAP or Oracle) for material transactions and planning.
* Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure quality.
