Position: Barbering Lecturer (hourly paid)

Salary: £28.62 - £37.08 per hour

Hours per week: 6 - 10 (approx.) 17:00‑21:00 on a Tuesday and/or Thursday evening.

Weeks per annum: Various

Working pattern: Various

Location: Abingdon Campus

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Barbering Lecturer to join our expanding team. In this role you will deliver engaging, practical sessions across a range of barbering units, including clipper work, creative styling and finishing, shaving and beard shaping, client consultation and customer service, health & safety and professional standards, and patterns & perming.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in barbering techniques, theory, and industry standards.
  • Support learners in developing skills, confidence, and employability.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with trends and innovations in the barbering industry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student experience.
Essential Experience
  • A qualified barber with substantial industry experience.
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive and high‑quality education.
  • Enthusiasm for developing learners of all backgrounds and abilities.
