Job Description
Transports materials over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders. Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination. Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material is correct based on the Ship Ticket.
Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle. Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in an orderly fashion.
This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. This test screens for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
The USDOT's Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation, 49 CFR Part 40, (e), does not recognize 'medical marijuana' as a valid medical explanation for a transportation employee testing positive for THC.
