About the position

This position is Non‑appropriated Fund (NAF) and located at the Dyess Youth Center. It involves transporting children in a government vehicle. A valid state driver’s license, which must be obtained and maintained, and a good driving record may be required as a condition of employment.

This position is considered Flex work, 0 hours up to 40 hours per week depending on mission needs and can be on call.

Pay will be set based on experience, education, and/or certification.

• Target Level: $20.80
• Intermediate Level: $19.62
• Entry Level: $18.62

Transport children in a government vehicle.

• This position requires satisfactory completion of pre‑employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent must consent to pre‑employment and random drug testing.
• This position has a physical lifting requirement that necessitates a favorable pre‑employment physical.
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations, including annual influenza vaccinations, and remain free of all communicable diseases.
• This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, including Food Handlers certification, within a specified time from date of hire or assignment to position.
• The position requires the incumbent to transport children in a government vehicle; thus a valid state driver’s license must be obtained and maintained, and a good driving record may be required as a condition of employment.
