Position Summary
Heavy equipment oiler performs onsite daily fueling and lube services, operational checks and minor preventive maintenance services on a variety of heavy construction equipment.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties- Perform scheduled fueling and lubrication services to all field equipment and construction machinery.
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders on a wide variety of heavy equipment including backhoes, scrapers, dozers and excavators.
- Inspect equipment and report problems.
- Occasionally may assist heavy equipment mechanics with the replacement of defective or worn parts.
- Maintain accurate truck and equipment inspection and service logs on a daily basis and in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Comply with all applicable DOT rules and regulations.
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in regard to disposal and waste.
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
- May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Must possess strong working knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.
- Able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must have all required tools.
- Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
