$25.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Pay: $28–$32/hr - OT opportunity

Hours: 6 Days a Week - Two shifts available (6:00 AM–6:00 PM and 6:00 PM–6:00 AM) – must be able to work either shift

Duration: 3 months

Network Connex is hiring Fiber Splicing Technicians for one of the largest data center projects in the world, located in Abilene, Texas. This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile site with a team of 50+ cable splicers. The role focuses on precision fiber splicing and comprehensive testing to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

• Install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables for high-speed data transmission.
• Perform fusion splicing and fiber testing.
• Work collaboratively with a large team to meet project deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols.

• Minimum 1 year of fiber splicing experience (environment does not matter).
• Ability to work both shift schedules (day and night).
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Reliable transportation to and from the data center site.
• Commitment to the full contract duration (site closed only 3 days for Christmas).
• Must be able to start on December 12th or December 16th.
• Exclusive openings.

Compensation: $32/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
