Field Service Technician; Abilene

Job Summary

This Field Service Technician will service the Abilene, TX area and report to the Brownwood TX branch. The candidate must reside in the Abilene area. The primary function is to perform on-site inspection, diagnosis, and repair of customers’ lift trucks and equipment, ensuring equipment is safe and functional.

• Coordinate daily schedule with Field Service Advisor.
• Provide excellent customer service at the site and communicate with customers upon arrival and throughout the job.
• Inspect forklifts and any reported issues, provide a full report on condition and repair costs.
• Diagnose and repair equipment per customer request.
• Perform quality control of each job to ensure completeness.
• Communicate job completion to customer and dispatch.
• Clean work area after completion.
• Verify equipment safety standards and inspect company vehicle for scheduled maintenance.
• Drive safely and courteously; maintain professional image in the company‑issued van.
• Complete and submit all work orders daily via electronic tablets.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on material handling equipment or heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience in automotive, truck, or military repairs is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and possession of mechanic tools.

Sitting, standing, and walking continuously; frequent use of computer and telephone; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Work is conducted indoors and outdoors, exposed to temperatures that reflect outdoor seasonal conditions.
