We are currently looking for the right Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team! $##.## to $##.## per hour. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. Minimum 1 year retail management experience required.

Position Summary

We’re seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six (6+) months of Store Management experience. Responsible for day‑to‑day operations, promoting a positive, productive environment. Partners with Store Manager to lead & develop store employees, recruit & retain talent, maximise financial goals, manage customer relations, promote the business, and target new customers. Also offers hourly wage plus commission and bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities

Of a Store Management Trainee Are
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor & assist in training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent via company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close store, count cash drawers, merchandise, and ensure procedures for asset protection.
  • Ensure asset protection via inventory control, property safety, documentation, and securing loans.
  • Administer processes for inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability.
  • Meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification, buying processes to maintain integrity.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for personal development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about mission & profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in Store Manager’s absence.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing & able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Demonstrated supervision skills.
  • Ability to work with firearms & become firearms certified.
  • Assist customers on the exterior, retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Flexible to work multiple locations.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends & holidays.
  • Store Manager Trainee works 45+ hours/week; hours based on business needs.
  • Computer literate & able to operate POS & office machines.
  • Multi‑task, detail‑oriented, strong organisational skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic & strong business sense.
Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Store Manager Trainees have potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit. Detailed information provided during interview.
